Preparation and success go hand in hand. You should prepare well for scoring high marks in your class 7 Science exam. Exam fear is common, but don't worry because here we have some helpful tips for you to enhance your preparation and get rid of your exam fear.

Following these simple tips will not only help you to clear your exam but will also help you to achieve your desired marks with flying colours. With dedication, smart work, and hard work, everything is possible and you can achieve anything you are dedicated to. So, to begin your preparation you can start with:

  1. Making a timetable - It is always a good idea to start your preparation by making a timetable and planning your 24 hours of the day. You can plan your months for study preparations. You can also fix a week in a day for taking a test of the topic you’ve studied the whole week. For example, if you have fixed a target of completing a specific chapter like, “Fibre and Fabric” from Monday to Saturday, then, on Sunday, you can give a test on that chapter. With this, you can analyze your mistakes and improve them in the next week. You can also plan your outings, your refreshment breaks, or important test dates accordingly.
  2. Understanding your syllabus - The class 7 Science syllabus includes 18 chapters. Every chapter of your syllabus holds great importance. You can start with the chapters that seem interesting to you. Try to cover at least 1 chapter in a week, so that you get enough time for revisions and practising previous year’s question papers.
  3. Understand the exam pattern - Your exam question paper will include multiple-choice questions, short-answer questions as well as long-answer questions. You should analyze the paper pattern before starting your preparations to get clear about the type of questions and the marks distribution in the question paper.
  4. Do not cram - Students usually study at the last moment when their exams are approaching. Cramming is not a good habit and it should be avoided. Only studying a day or two before the exam will lead to extra pressure on you. This is not a beneficial way of learning and this information will not be retained for long. Instead, make it a habit to study from the beginning of the session. Small study sessions from the start will help you avoid the over-pressure of studies before your exam.
  5. Make your study pattern - You can make a weekly study pattern for better learning. For example, you can follow a study schedule like this -
  • Monday - Saturday – “Chapter 1 - Nutrition in plants”
  • Sunday - Give a test of “Nutrition in plants”
  • Note down all your mistakes and the areas of improvement and work on them after completing your syllabus or in the week after your test, as per your suitability.

This pattern can help you complete your syllabus on time so that you get more than enough time for revision.

You can also study a chapter from your book and watch a video for the same. For example, if you have completed a chapter from your book, say, “Physical and Chemical Changes”, then you can watch a video of the same chapter for better learning.
  3. Take rest - Do not overburden yourself with studies. You definitely do not have to study all the time for better results. Overburdening yourself can also be harmful in some cases.
