My strengths at the beginning of the semester were my listening skills, time management and being responsible. Throughout the semester, when my professor assigned homework, I would start the same day and time it in a week or a few days prior to the due date. I am responsible because I get my work done on time, go to class on time, and don't miss class unless I have to.

My weaknesses at the beginning of this semester were being too quiet and keeping to myself. In the future I believe my weaknesses will effect my job performance because the field of work I want to go into I have to interact with new people. How can I help them if I'm to shy to get to know them? That wont cut it.

UNIV and my speech class helped me to improve these skills during this semester by allowing me to open up to more people and even making friends in my classes. I remember walking into speech not knowing a soul and being scared to walk in front of the class just to say my name. As weeks went by, I slowly started talking to more people in the class. Now as the semester comes to an end, I'm walking out of the class with people I consider really good friends. We even consider ourselves family. In UNIV due to the group assignments and interacting with each other I feel more comfortable in that class.

In order to improve these skills for next semester, I need to continue to open up to people because I don't want to miss any opportunities in life because I can't open my mouth just to say three words to people.
